He later married his assistant Rosalie Rayna in 1920. Watson moved to John Hopkins University in 1908, and became head of department in 1909. He published his first article in 1913 titled, “Psychology as the Behaviorist Views it”. In this article, he states that the theoretical goal of behaviorism is the prediction and control of behavior (Watson, Psychology as the Behaviorist Views It, 1913). He was shown the same animals earlier and Albert did not show any signs of withdrawal. It wasn’t until when he heard the loud sound that he began to cry at the animals shown to him. After these set of experiments, Albert was taken home and returned in one month. He was tested again by being shown the animals while listening to the loud noise that made him cry, causing him to withdraw.
