A condition stimulus is a stimulus which someone or something has learned to make a response (Dictionary.com,2016). The food (meat powder) was a unconditioned stimulus. An unconditioned stimulus is a stimulus that evokes a response that was not learned (Dictionary.com,2016). When the dogs salivated it was an unconditioned response . A unconditioned response is a reflexive action that was not learned (Dictionary.com,2016). The pairing of the bell and food caused the dogs to salivate when the heard the bell. The dogs salivating when they heard the bell after being paired with feeding was a conditioned response. A conditioned response is a response associated with two previously unrelated stimulus paired together to yield a response (Dictionary.com,2016). This experiment is an example of classical conditioning, which is the process of behavioral modification where a subject learns a desired response by using a conditioned stimulus repeatedly with an unconditioned stimulus that produces a natural response until the conditioned stimulus the same result by itself. That response then is known as the conditioned
