While there are many different forms of abuse, the most common are aimed at families, the elderly; and spousal abuse. Although, every relationship is brought together because there is love between two individuals and some form of trust, then why do some relationship end up with some form of abuse; and how did these individuals become so vindictive. While there are many different types of abuse, Intimate partner violence is one of the most ongoing types of abuse today, and this can consist of many different concepts were violence has such a strong hold on the relationship; such as bodily harm, seductive, and sensitive abuse. The next abuse is child maltreatment, an abuse that is becoming more and more popular today; because families can no longer have the means to care for their child. Their financial security is below poverty, and their unable to meet the child’s needs; so, the mis-treat them in many different forms of abuse. Instead they bring harm to their child by using the hand to them, forcing them into sexual acts, or engaging them in incest; or just acting like they don’t exist (a form of neglect) by never being there for them. Sometime parents take it to the extreme and refuse to provide adequate care, shelter, and food to their children, the elderly; even their own spouse and let them go hungry till they wither away. Another, abuse that has been surfacing were young child are concerned is incest, usually this is done by a family member; which is having sex with a young person or family member. Though, these abuses affect children in the worst way possible, there still is still two other types of abuse that affect them; one is sibling abuse and adolescent. “Sibling conflict is so common that many dismiss it as normal. But physical, emotional, and sexual abuse among siblings can leave lasting emotional scars” (Jones, ASID, IIDA, IDEC, Phyllis Sloan Allen, pg. 267). Usually this is done through, name calling, degrading intimidation, torching; and destroying personal property; to name a few.
