I am the information security specialist for a company that develops software X. Software X is the leading operating system in mobile devices. Unfortunately, our company believes Mr. McBride, a former employee stole product X source code for financial gain. As such, I have been tasked with leading the forensic investigation in this matter.
Analysis
Interview During an investigation is imperative that potential witnesses are questioned to gather essential information needed in the investigation (Swanson, Chamelin, & Territo, 2016). To protect the interest of this company it is imperative that the following individuals be interviewed:
• Maria. Her name was written on a white notepad so that makes her a key individual.
• Mr. Jenkins. Key individual that’s directly related to this investigation
• Mr. McBride’s Supervisor.
• Co-workers.

I take my job very seriously and meticulously search every piece of evidence. The way I see it if my findings are incorrect criminals can walk away as free man or innocent people can be sent to prison. I believe the 6th amendment is a human right that every individual is entitled to. My certifications as a certified forensic examiner and my experience in digital forensics have prepared me to be the best forensic investigator. The testimony you heard today is based upon facts and findings from this investigation. Unfortunately for Mr. McBride, project X source code was found on his thumb drive and a bank subpoena demonstrates that he got rewarded for exposing project
