Task 1) What is the nature of the alleged crime, and how does the nature of the crime influence a prospective investigation? The Nature of the alleged crime is unauthorized access to 3 photos that belong to Brendan Oliver. The photos were stolen and are being sold without Mr. Oliver’s consent. The nature of the crime influences a prospective investigation because the photos contained some sensitive nature. Mr. Oliver sent the three photos to a single person whom he deems trustworthy enough to not exploit the photos.

Using layman’s terms, explain laws and legal concepts that should be taken into account during the collection, analysis, and presentation of evidence.Investigators should tend to any hardware and software very cautiously because any and all evidence is crucial to the investigation. Investigators should keep any information especially private information regarding Mr. Oliver secret unless needed for question, or verification. Clients should keep the investigation a secret for confidentiality reasons and try as much as possible to avoid press. Any valuable information/evidence such as potential email messages will be brought forward to the attorney. All storage hardware will be compensated for investigation with the acceptation of the warrant and granted access from the compliant. The evidence will be presented in a report to the chief of the investigation, and attorney.
Task 6) What questions and concerns do you think the client will have?I believe the client will ask how we will retrieved the information, and how we can be sure we got the right person. Another question to take into consideration is if I’m the right one for the job so they’ll potentially ask if I have the qualification and knowhow to meet the standards to investigate the case.
Task 7) What questions should the team ask the client to learn more about the case and determine the next steps?The investigators should ask the client any additional information about the individual he sent the photos to via email. Another question would be is there any possibility the client left his phone unlocked for someone to gain access physically. Some other questions to take into consideration are does the client have anyone out to get him whether it’s one individual, or a whole organization, what stops did the client make the time frame that the photos appeared to be stolen, how else could
