This myth shows about a time when the world was filled with a lot of poverty. The Inca sun god; Inti, had sent both Manco Capak and Mama Ocllo to refine everyone in the surrounding area of Lake Titicaca. He provided them with a golden rod that would test the land for cultivation and settling in a suitable place. A place was soon found in the Cuzco Valley and reformation of the “native” people soon began. Manco Capak worked alongside Mama Ocllo and taught the people a great many things such as cultivation, irrigation, spinning, weaving and sewing. They then began to form tribes.
