They had built large temples for ceremony of the sacrifices and they also established special temples to worship their god. The kings or emperors of the Aztecs and Incas were seen descendants of gods or gods and widely respected from their people. In addition, people from both empires practiced and participated in human sacrifices for faith in their gods. However, sacrifices were done by thousands in the Aztec empire. Inca’s human sacrifice was more like when disaster coming or something unexpected had happened would ceremonial sacrifices take place high in the Andes mountain. Inca couldn’t compare to the share quantity of sacrifices carried out by the Aztec. In my opinion, a major point of differences between human sacrifices of Aztec and Inca is in purpose. In Aztec empire, there were Tenochititlan, Texcoco and Telcopan that formed the alliance and composed Aztec empire. However, later, Tenochititlan broke the alliance of city states and ruled Aztec empire with absolute monarchy. Since absolute monarchy of Aztec, Montezuma reinforced troops and expanded empire for getting more tribute from conquered people. This getting tribute system was gradually extended to faraway places. In addition, it was the driving force for the empire to flourish, but it also led to the destruction of the empire.
