Any knowledgeable attempt made by a learner has been activated by the cognitive. Experiences shape the way learning occur. The learner’s past experiences will indicate the way learning happen. Each learner will translate the experience in different ways; not all learners learn and interpret the same. Learners use their known factor; social, environmental and emotional to categorize their experience. Furthermore, knowledge is constantly being activated by the learner. Cognitive learning theory is relevant because it allows educators to better understand the learning needs of students, and it clarifies the process of the mind. As a result, teachers should deliver lessons based on the way the students’ learn levels and experiences in order for learning to occur. (Berkley Graduate Division, …show more content…
One of the uses for zone of proximity can be in the classroom during daily five. Teacher can spend some times with each student to help them accomplish a challenging task. Additionally, teachers can also use zone of proximal development as a tool to assess students and to gather data about students. Second, cognitive learning theory will help teachers to better assist their students by providing them a positive learning environment. This information will help teachers to organize the classroom and to better manage the classroom. Additionally, it will assist teachers to understand some issues that might be going on with the students for example, a kindergarten teacher will know that her students are having issues sharing because they are in the pre-operational stage of Jean Piaget. As a result, they might be egocentric. Piaget and Vygotsky are both pioneers of the cognitive learning theory. They have made strong arguments that support their theories and also some that are frail. However, cognitive learning is still being used to modify and understand learning. Some of the Piaget’s theories have been reconsidered and reevaluated. Fortunately, many other of his theories are being used and implied in our daily life. Vygotsky’s theory of zone of proximal development is used daily in classes to enhance students’
