My freshman year was great, I had wonderful professors that pushed me to flourish academically. I was prepared, but when it was time to take my harder courses, I buckled down and got down to business. College is nothing like high school, and I knew that, but that semester was a nice wake up call to be on my game and not to procrastinate, because that does not get you anywhere. Honestly, I loved what I heard. I am the type of person that likes learning by experience and the animal science department can offer that through hands on experience either through labs, and or clubs you join, or I am looking forward to that. I am excited to get into the interesting topics that animal science offers. I am choosing the science option of animal science to become a veterinarian. This science route offers organic chemistry and animal nutrition and many more. I feel that I am making a smart decision by choosing this major because I know it will better me for the good.
