Building on the previous point of how GMOs can benefit the third world countries, it can not only benefit each nutritionally, but also can safely feed large masses of people. For example when there are natural disasters that occur in countries around the world the US is able to send supplies such as food to people in need since there is a greater yield of food available to assist others when emergency aid is needed (Kowalski 31). Furthermore, the world population is steadily growing and normal crop production can only produce certain amounts of food per harvest. One group 's demands shouldn’t restrict others who may use this benefit to change lives. Myself I reside from a culture of Indian heritage. I have been to India many times, which is a developing company, where poverty has stricken millions of people. I have seen the faces of kids, adults, and even senior citizens on the side of the road begging for some way to survive the life they are trapped within. It breaks my heart to know that items which have added nutrients to them may be robbed from their hands due to the skeptics many groups. Each day I am able to witness through my eyes the suffering each person has been through, I try to make a difference by buying food for them but poverty is one thing which many Indian citizens can’t escape.The production of GMOs is saving lives in not only India but in many other places such as Africa and even in the US.
