Immune deficiencies is the body not able to perform at an adequate levels. A person’s immune system is weak and they can easily get sick. There are two general categories of immune deficiencies disorders, primary and secondary. Primary immune deficiencies “are detectable near birth and develop in infants and young children, result from some genetic or developmental defect” (Microbiology). Secondary immune deficiencies “develop in later life as a direct consequence of some other recognized cause, such as malnutrition, severe stress, or infectious disease” (Microbiology).
