Seclusion is the involuntary confinement of a student in a separate room or area and apart from other students. The student is physically prevented from leaving this environment.
2. What is physical restraint?
Physical restraint is restricting and/or preventing a student to move freely. Can only take place if a student’s behavior presents a clear, present and imminent risk to the physical safety of the student and others present; additionally, it is the least restrictive intervention possible.
