Mango Street, and White Girl. All three main characters are adolescents viewing the world in the different environments they live in. St. Ignatius is a large school packed with students from different cultures and races. If these characters were put into St.
Ignatius, they would each have different experiences than in their books as they are each unlike from each other.
If Holden attended St. Ignatius he would dislike school. In Catcher in the Rye,
Holden believes most people are phony. Holden said,”One of the biggest reasons I left

If Jossie went to St. Ignatius she would fit in well. In White Girl, she quickly assembles Rose as her best friend and over time she grows to have more friends. At
St. Ignatius, there would probably be a larger student population, than at the Indian reservation school, making it more easy to find more friends. She respects people of different cultures as she is not discriminatory to the Native Americans in the book. She does not retaliate against the students who make fun of her race. As St. Ignatius is a diverse school and Jossie does not feel fazed by people of other races she would fit in well. She would not stand out much at St. Ignatius as she is normal and she would not be the only person that is a white person at the school. In the Indian reservation, she did
stand out as she was the only white person at the school. Otherwise, at St. Ignatius she would be seen as another student at St. Ignatius is a diverse school.
If Esperanza went to St. Ignatius, she would find more friends. In the House on
Mango Street, Esperanza struggles to find friends as she is stuck with her sister who
