• Hospital charge master-
A chargemaster is also known as the charge description master which consist of a comprehensive listing of items that’s billable to a hospital patient or a patient’s health insurance provider. Hospitals have chargemaster because it helps to make the process of charge capture and billing can move smoother.
• Coding Systems-
Coding systems are fundamental to medical record keeping as well as to gathering and communicating public health statistics. They are used for a variety of purposes such as recording causes of death, coding diseases and procedures, and physician billing and reimbursement.
• Reimbursement- it’s a method of payment, usually by a third-party payer, for medical treatment or hospital costs.
