“Equine therapy is the discipline of using horses as a means to provide metaphoric experiences in order to promote emotional growth” (“What is Equine Therapy?”). While other therapies can be used to cure someone with a mental problem or a disability equine therapy is proven to be more effective. Also, why not benefit from physical, mental and emotional benefits while taking therapy. People with almost any kind of disorder can take equine therapy and benefit enormously. Equine therapy “…has shown to be very effective with patients who manifest depression, attention deficit, conduct disorders, dissociative disorders, anxiety, dementia, autism, and many other related disorders” (“What is Equine Therapy?”). Any patient who exhibits those types of mental illnesses has shown to improve and it is also a great way to benefit emotionally, physically, and mentally.
