In her book series, “Harry Potter” J.K. Rowling took Harry on a hero’s journey. A hero’s journey includes the call to adventure, the refusal of the call, the road to trials, and master of two worlds.
The story begins with Harry’s uncle going about his every day routine. He sees a cat that seems to be reading the street sign, it then stares at him as he drives by. As the day goes on, things just get weirder. He sees strangely dressed people, and he thinks he hears them say Potter, his wife’s sister’s last name. That night there is a knock at the door, he opens it to find a baby there. A baby with a scar shaped like a lightning bolt, Harry Potter, their nephew. This is where Harry’s journey begins. He had always thought his parents died in a car crash, little did he know, that his parents were wizards, and they were killed by an evil wizard known as Voldermort, and the he was supposed to be another victim, but his mom sacrificed her life for him, so he couldn’t be killed by Voldermort.
Call to Adventure: One day a strange letter came for him, his uncle immediately took it and destroyed it. More and more letters came but again, his uncle got rid of them all. Finally they moved to a rocky island with just their house on it. When one day, Hagrid, gamekeeper at Hogwarts came to tell Harry that he was a Wizard, Refusal of Call: Harry refused to believe it, until he learned the truth about his parents.
Supernatural Aid: After arriving at the school he meets Dumbledore, the headmaster, who helps Harry many times along his journey. He also meets Ron and Hermione, who become his best friends. Harry, Ron, and Hermione go through a lot together. They go on all kinds of adventures, like finding the sorcerer’s stone, finding Voldermort’s holkruxes, and defeating
