Good Things Come Back to You

At the end of the documentary, “Undefeated”, Coach Bill tells “Money” that if you keep doing good things, good things will come back to you. I believe this is very true; maybe not immediately, but eventually! I have many reasons why I think this is true. In the documentary, there is a football team called Manassas that hasn’t went to playoffs ever since the schools was founded. Except one year that all changed with the high school football team. They went to the playoffs, they didn’t win, but it was a big accomplishment.

In the documentary, there’s a football player that did so many good things, that one fantastic thing happened. Money was a senior who always did good in school. He was great at football

After first reading D’J Pancake’s short story, “Time and Again,” it is very easy to compare that story to an episode of Criminal Minds, called “To Hell and Back” (Lucas Turner, 2005, n.p.). When we read the story in class, I immediately began comparing the two together. There are so many similarities between these two stories and their main characters, even if they are different. In both stories, there are men who seem to have a mental disability that causes them to do almost the exact same thing, which is feeding humans to domesticated hogs (Pancake, 2006).…

In the book "If I Ever Get Out of Here" the author Eric Gansworth writes about the dangers of assumptions. He writes about this theme throughout the book by introducing situations in which an assumption of a character or a group, often times based on race, turns out to be incorrect and leads to issues between the two people or groups. Lewis and his family both make assumptions about George's family because he is from off the reservation and there are assumptions made about Indians and Lewis by teachers, classmates, store workers, and more. While Lewis is being bullied by Evan, a kid at his school, many people didn't believe that the situation was as bad as Lewis claimed. When discussing the problem in the lunchroom some of the kids agreed that Lewis is just "making the easy Indian claim" (p. 207).…

The article “Good people do Bad Things” was written by Anne Trafton. This article explains that people don’t always act rationally when they’re in group settings rather than alone. Anne emphasizes that the brain acts differently because it is stuck in a “mob mentality”. She started studying this affect after she found herself on the other side of a hostile situation versus a large crowd. The author’s strategies are very effective as far as I can see; most all theories are backed by facts and statistics.…
