Clomid has been shown to increase the chance of a woman conceiving twins by around 6%. One of the reasons it is effective with this is because women often release more than one egg when they ovulate. Maca works much the same way. It helps to regulate the ovulation system, making it easier for a woman to ovulate. It can also help improve the health of men's sperm.
Other Ways to Increase your Chances
As before mentioned, sometimes it is up to your body to produce twins on its own. This could be something caused by a family history of twins, your age or even your ethnic background. However, women who are a bit overweight are also more likely to become pregnant with twins as are those who have large families.
In addition to these items, some women have been able to increase their chances of conceiving twins by adding yams to their diet. This food has minerals in it that can make it more likely for you to conceive twins when you become pregnant.
These are just a few of the things you can do to increase your chances of conceiving twins. However, it is important to note that there is nothing you can do to guarantee you will become pregnant with twins. So, if you are looking to conceive twins in the future, try these things for yourself, but don't be disappointed if they don't work for

Twin studies aid in strengthening the correlations between fetal environment, low birth weight, and adult disease. On average, twins have lower than average birth weight as they experience reduction in growth during their third trimester due to limitations in size of the uterus (Vagero & Leon, 1994). Research involving monozygous and dizygous twins has determined that the lighter twin was more likely to develop higher blood pressure and have increased cardiovascular disease risk (Baird, Osmond, MacGregor, Snieder, Hales, & Phillips, 2001). This information suggests that two individuals who experience the same intrauterine environment can have varying birth weights, and those birth weights correlate to a greater incidence of disease. Twin studies…

A tendency for fraternal twins can run in families, whereas identical twins typically do not. Only the mother’s genes would matter for determining if the birthing of twins is genetic because she would be the one producing more than one egg. Identical twins, or monozygotic babies, are formed when a single egg is fertilized by a single sperm and then splits into two identical halves. Once the egg is fertilized and travels down the fallopian tubes, the zygote enters the womb and splits into two. In utero, identical twins are contained in the same sac and share a placenta.…

Two children could also be considered twins if they’re from different mothers, if, “they were born in exactly the same kind of circumstances, at least from a moral and a psychological point of view.” The same thing can be said if the twins have different fathers: Levi-Strauss tells of a myth from the Tupinambas, a tribe from the coast of Brazil, about a woman who’s seduced by a devious Trickster. She conceives both with him and her legitimate husband and gives birth to twins, one from each father. Because of the opposition in parentage, the twins have opposing features.…
