For decades, schools have been debating whether to keep, or end after school sports. In many statics, kids who don't play after-school sports are more successful with their grades. Therefore, schools should eliminate sports so students can have time to study, reach academic achievements, and cut budgets.

As anyone who has participated in after-school sports knows, physical activity takes time out of a student’s day of studying. According to Amanda Ripley’s investigation, about 160 people attended parent-teacher night compared to 6 the year before (11). It is clear that sports are a big distraction to students and cause the school to spend more money than they should. Cost and schooling are creating a difference in our society as well as our schooling.
