Not only was it the first major story we read, but in my opinion it was the best story we read all year. The main reason for my liking of this poem is it shows just how dangerous having too much power can be. Macbeth is driven mad with rage and doesnt even talk to his wife for half of the story; So much so that even his best friend Banquiot is beginning to see it. It can be seen in the quote "Is this a dagger which I see before me..." Macbeth has gone so mad after murdering the king he feels no remorse or guilt whatsoever. In the end of the story macbeth gets whats coming to him, which i hope can one day be said for all the bad people in this
