To be or not to be, that is the question. In Shakespeare’s play, Hamlet, this line is most famously said. However, the origins of this line have a very bad ending. Hamlet is a young man who is getting over the death of his father. In contemplating suicide or the death of Claudius, who conspired to kill the former king (Hamlet’s father), we get to learn the characteristics of young Hamlet. Hamlet can be described as deceitful because he only acts insane in front of certain people while showing his true intentions to certain friends. Not only that, but lastly we realize that Hamlet thinks on a deeper level than most. For instance, Hamlet is a very personal person, often pondering of his father and the situation the people around him. This shows Hamlet is always thinking, and should be shown that perhaps he is the most mature of everyone around him. In conclusion, Hamlet is an interesting character, and has a lot to deal with.
