Many thoughts have crossed my mind to help me think of my reasoning as to why I am for the special issue. First, it is the parents’ choice as to whether or not they want to donate any or all embryos for the sake of science and stem cell research to help those in need . It is their embryo that they are donating and having altered for another person’s sake so it is their choice completely as to whether or not they feel okay about this. No one is forcing them to donate these embryos and nor are they invasively harvesting them from the woman themselves, these people are willing donating these viable embryos noting by doing so they are helping the community by doing a greater good. Secondly with embryonic stem cell research, it creates jobs for the researchers and those who test the embryos. In the world today it is hard to get a steady and secure job, many people are struggling day to day just to get enough money to buy food to put on the table. But with stem cell research there will be many good paying jobs for people who need it. Society today should appreciate the jobs that the researchers do, without them we would be behind on cures for the cures we have today. My third thought, is it is for the future for everyone across the nation as well as all over the world. Many people do not want to see their child or any loved one suffering from some incurable disease. They want to take away the pain of the disease that could cause the person that the love any harm or early death. Many people today are dying from illness and defects from many manmade pesticides whether they contracted this from work, the food that they consume, products they use around the house or on their skin, or stuff that is in the air because of pollution. Thankfully with stem cells it could
