Coca Cola is multinational company known for its products all around the world. It aims to be the best company worldwide by following their business principles which encourage a culture of innovation and collaboration which encourages high ethics, transparency and accountability. To ensure these are adhered to, they conduct reviews to ensure that they are meeting those standards. To this effect, the company has Corporate Governance Guidelines and a charter of the committee of their board of directors (The Coca Cola Company, 2016). Its corporate responsibility is managed by their Public Policy and Corporate Reputation Council, which identifies any problems and risks faced by the company and the people they serve as well as ways to minimize or possible eliminate those risks (The Coca Cola Company, …show more content…
Employees are also rarely able to work efficiently with such tension at work. Similarly, racial discrimination at Coca Cola Company also caused some negative effects including distrust among employees, tension at work and even cost the company millions to settle the complainants after the law suit. However, there are several ways which companies can eliminate discrimination in the work place. First, the company can make an anti-discriminatory policy that clearly outlines the consequences of discrimination in the work place. Coca Cola has a code of business conduct. A clear anti discriminatory policy that covers both employees and company management would be effective in eliminating racial discrimination in the company. All individuals working for and with the company should be made aware of the policy before beginning work and made a part of their work
