In the automotive program this quarter I didn't know too much of anything about the brakes . In this quarter i started learning things that I thought I wouldn't . The few things that I learned to do was how to be organized , how to machine a drum , and how to take a caliper off . I started off knowing nothing about those things but within these 9 weeks i've learned how to do these things . I haven't just learned how to do these things on paper but i've also learned how to do them on a live car in the shop.

One thing that i didn't really do was be organized. In mr.wattley class i had to learn how to be organized real quick. The binders we have i didn't really pay attention to them. Then we did our binder check i noticed i had to fix everything. I took that in and started being more organized . I fixed my binder and have been keeping it looking nice and neat. I also have been organized outside of school . I've been keeping my locker and football equipment looking nice.

The one thing that came to me easy was machining a hubless drum. At first i didn't even know what a drum was but when i did it came easy. when machining the drum you first have to assemble it right on the machine. Once it's assembled right and put the vibration belt on you can start the steps to machining it properly. First you put the cutting bits in the middle of the drum and make it where it's touching a little bit. Then you have to turn the dials to zero and then put the cutting bits at the end of the drum. Once you have done that you change the dial to a 4 thousands cut for example. After that you let the machine do its work

The sustainability team project exposed me to a variety of skills and concepts while dealing with a complex problem, one of them being team conflict. I would like to reflect on this, since my opinion about it has changed, as we progressed through the course. There were various conflicts that occurred during the project, but only one in particular was significant to change my opinion about team conflicts, it was towards the end of the project. When the team was discussing solutions to the complex problem, there was disagreement with the team on what the solution should look like. As, different team members had different opinions and expectations from the project, which led to the conflict within the team.…

There were 58 kids that went out for the freshman baseball team, 21 kids made the A/B team. The other 37 kids were on C team. Going into the first practice I was picturing myself in that group of 37 on the C team. One of the reasons I pictured myself on C team was because most kids going out for baseball were 8-10 months older than me and were about 4-6 inches taller than I was. But kids being older and bigger didnt not determined how hard I worked.…

Introduction The coach’s role is to develop the coachee’s resourcefulness through skillful questioning, challenges, and support; not advising because when advice is given, the coach implies that he or she knows best and that the coachee does not (Rogers, 2012). Coaching requires a listening ear to ensure that the coachee is understood and is making decisions that will ultimately help accomplish the goals. During this final coaching session, my client and I will be working together to close the coaching sessions and then determine the next phase of our relationship Pre-Coaching Plan…

Teamwork and collaboration, good communication, and confidence are the three strengths I believe I demonstrated during this rotation. My clinical rotation as a student nurse did not only imply observing the providers, but also meant active participation on my part. Being engaged, enabled me to put into practice what I have learned in theory. The first day of my rotation, the nurse permitted me to augment the Pitocin dose by two units after 20 minutes. I thought that was exciting because I learned about the medication in the class and participated in administering it.…

Unfortunately along the way there were communication issues, and confusion.…

Making a video for marketing project can be difficult: getting students to participate, having a crystal clear concept to make an effective ad etc. Last year, I took a marketing management course where our teacher assigned the students a class project; the class project was about making a presentation and ad, coming up with our own brand name and packaging. Since it was a mega project for the whole class, it was difficult for everyone to even where to start from. Our teacher did give some hints and instructions, to make things easier she told the class to make an ad for any product we wanted. It was a tough choice to make because there were various categories of products and we were targeting an easy category, after discussing amongst ourselves we decided to do make a marketing campaign on a milk.…

Leadership is both a science and an art. Good leadership requires an accurate sense of self, a well-communicated vision, the ability to earn the trust of others and the capability to take effective action. In order to “build your house of leadership” your actions must inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more. (Duren, Lec. 2). Throughout the semester, I have learned that some of the five Kouzes and Posner leadership practices in The Leadership Challenge come naturally to me while others do not.…
