Gender roles are cultural expectations for how boys and girls should behave and act in the society. From childhood to adult, the society constructs gender inequality in family, schools, workplaces and other places. As society teaches boys to play with boy’s toys and girl’s with girls toys. Boys are expected to play with those toys that help them in decision making role whereas girls usually play with those toys that teach them an expressive role like caring and nurturing.
“Toys R Us”:

Likewise, the girl sections marked with dolls, playsets, pretend play, and learning toys that represents that girls only like to involve in this lifestyle. Also, the boys section painted in blue color instead of pink. And, the section had a picture of star in blue color. But, for boys it labelled as action figure, bikes, games, and building sets block. Boy section consist products like transformers, superman, iron man, star trek, spider-man, and more. This represents the masculinity that concludes the boys need to be strong, powerful, active, and energetic in nature. It shows the masculinity comparison in the culture that boy always eager to fight, strong, and do more complicated work than girls. I could find the gender differences and racial inequalities among boys and girls. I found lots of toys presents masculinity and femininity in society. They were more reflected from movies, and TV shows. As, the first thing I noticed is the color difference that differentiate boys from girls. Likewise, girls section portrayed in the pink and boys in the blue color. I felt comfortable while collecting my data in store on masculinity and femininity. I think that my gender and race have affected my research on feeling of gender inequality in store. However, I came to know how the society socially constructed between genders. Moreover, the hegemonic masculinity and femininity reflects that the popular culture has a diverse effect on the mind of children’s. Children’s like to wear same clothes and make- up as their idol Barbie’s and
