This is why we should ask ourselves these questions. Are we becoming a “McDonaldized” society? Do we have a need for speed, reproductions, quantity, and reliability? It can be a disadvantage to some, misuse of the camera, recording of private conversations and texting while driving to name a few. It has also been an issue due to radiation being emitted when in use. There are however precautions that can be made to lessen the risk, and as most people would agree everything has some health risk if not used in moderation. Texting while driving has many disadvantages as does any distraction that occurs while driving. The cell phone has all but obliterated our verbal communication. The use of books and other paper written items are becoming obsolete. The cell phone has so many apps, you can accomplish what ever want and need. I believe cell phones are a major advantage in our ever changing society. Misuse by some does not make the cell phone a disadvantage, it is a product that allows us to connect with the world around us in all ways
