In contrast to the rest of the store, the golf section of Dicks Sporting Goods includes a large about of crown modeling and mahogany wood stained display cases which immediately catch any consumers eye. These grand scale pillars give a sense of extravagance and attract wealthier clientele to the high end items found in the golf section. While these moldings and pillars are on a large scale to fit the warehouse style housing of Dick’s, they offer a much homier feeling. The deep earth tones of the wood give the area a luxurious style that makes one feel a sense of importance, and in translation the conception that the products sold leads to an affluent lifestyle. The mahogany wood is not only visually appealing but makes one feel at home. This can go a long way especially due to the grand scale size of Dick’s warehouse. …show more content…
