Problem:
Everyday students attend educational intuitions to advance their knowledge, and they all/most face a similar problem that nearly every student will agree with—not enough desk space. Most of the time, students are forced to choose between either taking notes on a computer which takes up the entire desk, or taking notes by hand in a binder which takes up the entire desk. Notes by computer aren’t necessarily always the most efficient way to take notes, and the same applies to hand written notes. Occasionally, you will have students who will attempt a balancing act by putting their computer on their binder, so they can take both handwritten and computer notes, but this takes away all available space, and they have to

Desk assist is a newly designed conceptual 3 ring binder that will allow people to conquer the little space school desks provide. Desk assist looks very similar to a normal binder, except for a few minor adjustments. First, the binder is made out of a stronger material than normal binders, so the walls of the binder will not bend. Second, there are rails imbedded into the back of binder that can slid into place and will hold the entire binder flat and straight, as opposed to it bending at the middle to fold close. Thirdly, there are additional walls that will slide out of the edge of the binder to provide more space. Lastly, there are clips that will secure the binder to the desk. When you combine all of these features, you get desk assist. By using all the features, a student will be able to move their laptop over the edge of the desk to take advantage of unused isle space by using the sliding sides, and it will be full supported by the stronger binder. By moving the laptop over, this also creates more room which can be used for a book, and on the opposite side of the laptop, the sliding side can be used for something such as a calculator. Taking advantage of the unused isle space, students using desk assist leave their note taking area in the binder much less cluttered and freer.
Target market

This is an excellent location to have our warehouse in as it helps us to serve our target in a more effective way as it is centrally located and it enables us to reach customers much more easily anywhere in the metropolitan area. A warehouse will be needed so that we can stock all clothing items customers return once they have tried it on. We will require an office which can accommodate at least 8-10 employees where they can operate from. Whereas, the office will be situated on the outskirts of Boston, since we only need it for operations, where rent is much lower which in turn will help us keep costs low.…

In “Attention, Students: Put Your Laptops Away” by NPR the author(s) addressed the problems in classroom and how students were taking notes. Their argument was that students needed to take notes via paper and pen rather than with their laptops or other electronics. They used research from Pam A. Mueller and Daniel Oppenheimer. In which they stated “‘This is suggestive evidence that longhand notes may have superior external storage as well as superior encoding functions’”(NPR 2). NPR is making the case that writing your notes increases your ability to recall the information you recorded.…

*In case you're wondering, the title refers to some training we once had from an education board representative who earnestly told us that that we shouldn't be using the term 'brainstorm' any more. Because, and he honestly said this out loud, he felt that it was 'offensive to epileptics' and the supremely arsey 'thought shower' would be much more politically correct. Yes indeed. Rather than letting us get on with the business of actually imparting knowledge, many government officials think this kind of gubbins is a good use of our time. The same bloke also mused, out loud, for half an hour on whether 'disabled toilet' shouldn't be changed to 'lavatory for the challenged'.…
