If you have a few missing teeth, then dental implants can be used to replace these teeth. The dental implant procedure involves using an abutment to connect the dental implant and crown. An abutment is a porcelain or titanium screw that is shaped just like your natural teeth. The entire dental implant procedure usually takes few months to complete. Once the procedure is completed the entire implant can last several years without any issues. However, if you mistreat your implants, then your dental implant will not last as long and may end up failing. Fortunately, there are a few tips you can use to prevent this from happening.

Avoid Clenching or Grinding Your Teeth
