WHAT IS FREEDOM?

There is a time, when someone amazing, does or achieves an outstanding accomplishment, they are remembered for a short time. But some of those people are forgotten, lost in the midst of time. Maybe someone who reads that essay will learn about that person, remember him, and spread the remembrance of him.

A hero, let me repeat that again, a hero. What is a hero? A hero is someone that is courageous, brave, someone that stands up for not only their rights, but other’s rights to. Someone that has nothing, not wealth. not popularity, but that someone would still risk their lives, for it. That is

It was said in the article "Tank Man", on Wikipedia, that "A man who stood in front of a column of tanks on June 5, 1989, the morning after the Chinese military had suppressed the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989 by force, became known as the Tank Man, unknown Protester or unknown Rebel. As the lead tank maneuvered to pass by the man, he repeatedly shifted his position in order to obstruct the tank's attempted path around him. The incident was filmed and seen worldwide." This is saying that a man who disagreed his and others lack of freedom in China, stood in front of a tank, and repeatedly blocked it from moving. This means that he wanted freedom so badly for himself and his country that he was willing to have the courage to stand up in front of the entire chain of tanks, and try and stop them, and convince them to let the chinese people have freedom, and to not shoot down their own people. This matters because he had the courage, he had the strength, he had the qualities every hero should have, and he stood up for those who wanted freedom, even if it meant his death. That is an outstanding

I have chosen to analyze the essay, “Heroism: Why Heroes are Important”. The article was written by a Professor of Philosophy, Scott LaBarge. He unquestionably felt strongly that a person having a hero is vitally important. He goes in depth about his personal hero Thoreau, and he claims that he wouldn’t know where he’d be without him (1). He talks about how deep this connection from his hero is through being convinced “that living deliberately meant becoming a philosopher” (1).…

The “Tank Man” photograph was taken on June 5, 1989. This mind-boggling photograph shows a man standing in front of a column of tanks. As the history recalls, this incident happened after the Chinese military had suppressed Tiananmen Square protests. When the tanks were rolling down the road, the man appeared fearless as he stepped out to temporarily stop the movement of tanks. This is most commonly seen as an act of defiance or mockery, but people are still not sure who exactly the man was, why he did this, and what happened later.…

They become known among the people and are a big part of history. “Tank Man” In contrast, is the man that fought unanimously. He had a great impact among the chinese people and around the world yet, no one knew who he was or even what he was. “ Tank Man” as many people call, him is a perfect example of how any ordinary person can protest not only without using violence but also they did it without anyone's help and he did it because he knew what was right for him and the community itself.…
