It was Margot walking towards him down the hill with something behind her back. All the children of Venus turned around staring at Margot and William shockley. William said first “Look Margot please forgive you can do anything you want to me just please I'm sorry”. “Don’t you think it’s a little too late for apologies?” Margot asked. “Not really if you please forgive me look, I was jealous of you because you seen the sun, where born on Earth, and knew how bright everything could be before me. “Oh Really” Margot said, “Yes Really” William said calmly. And the kids knew this. The children were very jealous of Margot because she used to be able to see the sun often while they only see it every seven years. Their jealousy led them to lock Margot in the closet while they all got to go outside and play in the sun. All of the children didn't have any control over what she sees and locking her in the closet wouldn't fix any problem.…

All Summer In a Day “She was different and they knew her difference and kept away”... this is what Ray Bradbury writes in his story, All summer in a day. Margot is a girl in this story who wants to be accepted and fit in with the people on venus but she isn't sure how. For example she doesn't defend herself and she doesn't even attempt to try and socialize with the other kids. One reason Margot doesn't fit in and isn't accepted is because *she doesn't defend herself.…

Ray Bradburry’s All summer in a Day Teaches readers to not bully or be jelous over somthing you cant controll because it could lead to a serious hate or bulling another person. My Evidance is that in the story all her classmates start to tease her or shout and yell at her because they are jelous of her because she remembers what the sun is like. Also they think that Margot is lying about the sun. Then on page two third paragraph William gave Margot a shove.…

The other children who live on Venus have only seen the sun once when they were two years old. I think that the theme of this story is that jealousy can make people do things that they wouldn’t normally do because of the way they treat Margot because she can still remember the sun. For example, when Margot was writing a poem about the sun, a boy named William exclaimed. “‘Aw, you didn’t write that!”’ That shows how much tension is between her and the other kids.…

We understand the perspective of both the other children and Margot from how Bradbury has chosen to place the point of view. We really see the difference when the children argue with Margot about how the sun looks, “she remembered and stood quietly apart from all of them,” we know she remembers whereas the other children don’t have as good of an understanding as she does because they had only known the sun for one moment in their nine years whereas Margot knew the sun for four years of her life. Because of her different background and how she knows much more about the sun that the other children don’t Bradbury literally tells us that the other children hate Margot. He tells us that they hate her because of how she looks and acts and how she has a possible future compared to them only knowing the darkness of Venus. The children hate her so much they feel the need to lock her in a closet and steal her happiness from her.…

How does Margot survive for five years without seeing the sun and instead being drenched with rain on Venus. Margot has not seen the sun for about 5 years and it is about to come out for the first time in five years. What my thoughts on this are that Margot should be more grateful because other kids seen the sun seven years ago but have no memory of it because they were two years old. So Margot should stop acting so impatient because, She has seen the sun more than any of the other kids because she lived on earth for four years of her life. The other kids need more of a chance to see the sun more than she does because they can't even remember what the sun looks like, and finally Margot should just be grateful that she saw the sun for longer and she hasn't lived on venus her whole life.…

In this story many of the children on Venus are jealous of Margot’s opportunities and previous life on earth. When children are jealous, they turn against Margot. One example is when she is reading the poem, instead of listening to Margot the students shut her down without even listening. Just because students are jealous it does not mean that they can bully Margot. While this is important theme it is easily seen that if it weren’t for Margot not thinking about what she said or did that this wouldn’t have happened, so overall the important point is that it is needed for everyone to take a minute an think about the results in the end from what they…
