My final project is about the Communication skill we use in our everyday lives. The three topics I will be focusing on in my project are; what is the topic and what is its importance, how is the topic relevant to people 's personal lives, and how the topic is relevant to people 's professional lives. Communication is important for many reason both personal and professional. First what is communication? In an article on a web I found there definition to be “Communication is simply the act of transferring information from one place to another, whether this be vocally (using voice), written (using printed or digital media such as books, magazines, websites or emails), visually (using logos, maps, charts or graphs) or non-verbally (using body language, …show more content…

We use communication in every form today to help get information to another person or people. Its importance is because it allows us to get information to other quickly and easy as possible. In a book I found online it said “You share meaning in what you say and how you say it, both in oral and written forms” (Scott, chap. 1). So even if we don’t speak we can still communicate in different ways whether it is writing, sign language, or even gestures we are communicating still. Communication helps build team work, businesses, friendships, and even help increase employee morale. If we communicate effectively and clearly we will be able to achieve a good communication skills were people will understand us and know what we are saying whether it be physically or …show more content…
In an article I found online it says “In order to be successful in your job and career, you must communicate powerfully and effectively with confidence and clarity” (Kath, 1). This explains that if we want to communicate in our professional lives we got to do it with a good set of confidence and be as clear as possible. Communication will always be used every day in our professional lives and we got to be ready to use it. There will be times we will have to talk to customers or other coworkers and we have to know what to say and how to say and this is why it will be important for us to know how to communicate in the work field. There is many different ways of communicating in the professional field and some fields will require you to have many different communication skills. What I mean is that you may know on language but you may be required to know 2 or more to better help other in the professional skill. Once we reach the professional skill we will see and find out that people will have different communication skills than what we have so we must learn how to communicate with them by learning different ways of communication. A good example of this in the professional field would be sign language. Sign language is common in the professional field because someone
