A good example of bright lighting would be when Philip Marlowe goes to the club and sees Vivian singing. The lighting in that scene is bright and gives a sense of joy and happiness. In the movie Basic Instinct, examples of Mise en scene lighting are not that obvious but the way the scenes are set gives us an idea of it.
