Some may use it to get there point across get what they desire depending on how much power a person is given. Chavez has limited the internet and media basically taken away there freedom of speech. Human rights defenders aren't able to do their job since the government has decided to keep the information they have. Also protests in venezuela have escalated into a violent scene, police have beaten protesters even killed some. President Nicolás Maduro who has taken over for Chavez since he died kept the policies which has lead to all the protests from the people of venezuela. Like holding information, not letting the public know what's going on in there country. Also if you abuse the power given you could have the people in peace so they don't protest and riot but in this case it isn't true. But if the people don't know what is going on and are clueless how could the be in peace or better themselves if they dont know whats going on around them. Also if you have taken away the freedom of speech how could you be “at peace” if you can't even show how you feel about the situation. To conclude, Abuse of power affects society and will always affect a society somewhere in the world. In Venezuela the abuse of power is just getting worse and in Rwanda it's the same. Also abuse of power and control creates stereotypes, Innocent people are dying in Venezuela and tutis is still killing hutu members and everyone else that isn't part of their ethnic group. Venezuelan youth getting involved in the protesting and getting killed. Hopefully when people see this to be a major issue in society people will start to help and stop the abuse of
