Chavez and the Victim have been married for four years. The victim stated she was standing at a bus bench when Chavez approached her. Chavez grabbed the victim around her waist, against her will, and forced her approximately fifteen feet away from the bus bench. Chavez held the victim around her wrist which prevented her from leaving the location. The victim attempted several times to break free from Chavez' grip. The victim broke free from Chavez' grip and ran across the street. Chavez gave chase and again grabbed the victim, not allowing her to leave. A records check on Chavez revealed the victim has a restraining order against him. Chavez returned to the location and was arrested and taken to the Pasadena Jail for booking.
