Introduction
The brain is a very complex part of the body that holds many secrets we have yet to discover. Even through massive amounts of research scientist can not pretend to know everything that makes the brain tick. With research scientist have been able to discover certain things about different parts of the brain and from there learn how each part coincides with the next. Through, experiments and research science is constantly changing and learning new things about the brain and what it is capable of. By using five different academic journals I will analyze and compare brain damage. I want to further investigate the brain and find out why some types of brain damage disrupt basic human functions …show more content…
Each study that was performed in some way tested how brain damage to the right side affected these movements and motions and in each study it was found that this type of damage does intact affect these abilities. Although some studies thought that further investigation on the subjected needed to be one to accurately conclude whether or not the affects they found were directly related to the abnormalities. I find it safe to say that right brain damage does in fact affect many different postures and movements that a healthy individual find no problem in doing. It was found in many of the studies that right brain damage in right handed people seemed to have been affected more, than right handed individuals with left brain damage (2008, 2012, …show more content…
In most of my research the brain damage was a result of stroke, though, in some cases the brain damage was result of disease. All participants in every study were seemingly healthy before the onset of there brain damage occurred. After comparing these individuals to control groups which had no problem completing the simple task asked of them it is certain that the brain damage itself is the reason for the results of these studies. Although, it is unknown whether or not lesions on different areas of the right side affect
