Even though we are going to tour around the whole Indiana, our headquarter is at Bloomington. Therefore, we may slightly focusing on analyzing those successful nonprofit arts organizations at here and try to find out their unique ways to manage the organizations. There are some really distinguishable and successful arts organizations at Bloomington, and due to people’s urgent needs of arts and music, the city also created a district, which is called Bloomington Entertainment & Arts District (BEAD) in 2008. There many different nonprofit organizations that are included in this area and it is definitely a great attraction to more nonprofit organizations to join in. There are lots of collaborations between nonprofit organizations at Bloomington, and the environment is very encouraging for nonprofit organizations work and partner with each other. Thus, it is a good place to start-up. Those nonprofit organizations at Bloomington, in my opinion, are mostly made up by two parts. Part of them is local nonprofit organizations and others may be the branches of national nonprofit organizations. Among those local nonprofit organizations: 1. Lotus Education and Arts Foundation is for sure one of the biggest. The reason why I put them on this list is because of the reputation of this organization and the high-quality events they have held for more than twenty years. 2. Also, Bloomington Symphony Orchestra is also another large nonprofit organization. They started to perform back into the 70s and the musicians are all volunteered to play for the orchestra, and they keep serving great music to the citizens. 3. WIUX may be another recognizable nonprofit organization since many students are involved into this radio and people are aware of the radio and they have a great number of volunteers. 4. Cardinal Stage Company is another great example of nonprofit arts organization at Bloomington, and they are also focused on theatrical productions but unlike us, they provide performances at Bloomington. 5. Ivy Tech John Waldron Arts Center is also a large arts organization and it collaborates with Lotus and some organizations a lot. 6. The Monroe County Public Library also often works with different other nonprofit organizations and it is definitely a place that people who live here will always go and spend their day at the library. The public library serves in an extremely important role in the society and provide us many opportunities of studying and reading. 7. Habitat For Humanity of Monroe County 8. Red Cross 9. Big Brothers Big Sisters 10. United Way 11. YMCA
