According to a study conducted by Rheaume and Mitty (2008), the conclusion indicated that traditional stereotypes concerning ageing, intimacy and sexuality are being reevaluated. In essence, the perspective that is being developed states that there is no precise end date for when the desire for intimacy should occur. This has become a consecutive point of research as we continue to move into the 21st century.
