General Lori Robinson was the first to prove that women could be successful in the military. She entered the military in nineteen eighty-two, and since has broke though the ranks. Robinson held many roles in the Air Force including, the instructor and commander of the Command and Control Operations Division at the Air Force Fighter Weapons School. General Lori Robinson was the first women to lead a combatant command in Pentagon history. Robinson replaced a male administrator Bill Gortney. She was the reason that all women are now allowed to apply for over 213,600 jobs in the military. The standards of the military were set to suit men, which is unfair to women. If the standards were set for men it could be physically impossible for a women to reach the goals which for specifically made for men. Also by allowing women to serve in combat roles has raised societies perspective on womens abilities. So many girls are told that they are not capable of doing certian tasks, but allowing women in combat has raised that standard and told those girls that they are capable of accomplishing those tasks.
