In our day and age, many people live negative lives, but Anne Frank was not one of those people. Anne Frank was a Jewish teenager at the times of the Holocaust, and although she was sent to a concentration camp at the age of 15, she was very positive and always tried to see the best in everyone. Her character could be seen through her speech, actions, and interaction with others. One of Anne’s most famous quotes, “In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart,” shows that she was an accepting person. Anne liked to believe that no one was bad, and maybe they had some of the same or similar problems she has. Through it all, Anne became a huge inspiration for many because of this very quote. She had her father, mother, sister, the Van Daans, Miep, Mr. Dussel, and many more. Because of all of the love in her life, Anne knew she had to be nice somewhere in her heart, and once again, believed the same of others. She believed this because of her character. For example, on Hanukkah, while they were living in the annex, Anne gave everyone gifts that she put together herself. Much of her heart was poured out into these gifts, and she thought them through very well. A person that is not kind or thoughtful would never even attempt to get their friends and family gifts like Anne did. There were Nazis during the holocaust that had families, and because Anne knew this, she knew that they had to have some sort of love in their hearts. When Miep Gies brought everyone cake on the same Hanukkah, she said, “(giving her flowers) There you are.” Miep was very humble, and it was quite evident in her words. Kindness is truly contagious, and it is shown as every act of kindness Anne receives, she returns it to someone else. The amount of kind acts Anne witnessed in her life outnumbered the bad. There were people that put their lives on the line for the Franks, and that lead to Anne believing everyone was truly
