The three attainable goals to end displacement of low income residents and increase affordable public housing are: (1) implementing regulatory and policy fixes, (2) gaining control of public and private property assets, (3) and improving resident understanding of legal rights. Implementing regular reviews and the development of strategies to address housing pressures, displacement, and so on that may emerge, both in the short term and long term. The marketplace has been working in favor of gentrification in certain parts of philadelphia. With the community, marketplace and government working together we can improve (revitalize) the community with displacing residents. The strategies stated above will not only work towards my goals, but the goals of organizations in Philadelphia trying to slow down and even stop gentrification in our city. The major impact I believe my project will have is creating a neighborhood and community that reflects and protect both the new and old residents. My strategies will hopefully provide a long term positive relationship between all parties (the community, market place, and the government) and push for a new way of redevelopment that does not gentrify the
