Aerwyna laughed, "We may pledge to reject men, but we want to look good for a hottie like Apollo."
"A 'hottie' like Apollo?"
Aerwyna instantly turned bright red. "Not my own words!"
Quinn chuckled, but stopped herself. Don't get too attached, Quinn, your stay is temporary. She just needed to figure it out. It was not going to be easy. At least Quinn didn't think so. She had no idea how amnesia worked. Was it like memories were sucked away from you forever, or just misplaced? She stalked after Aerwyna who was trying to calm down the ladies. "Stick to the hunt, remember our code." Aerwyna whispered.
Artemis was stalking the ground waiting. Apollo was visiting to get an update from the attack. Art suggested that she would send a messenger of Hermes, but Apollo wanted to see the words from her mouth. All the girls tried to cover their gold, so they could look like a god, but Artemis insisted them to leave their clothing alone. Suddenly, a crackle inflamed in the sky. …show more content…
The sun glowed, and everyone covered their eyes. But Quinn could only stare. The earth was increasingly warmer. Small flames came and went. A chariot flew out of the sky. Horses made of fire were dragging it towards the ground, where a man in white hair and a stunning presence. He finally landed as his chariot caught on fire, and shredded to ash. He smiled at Artemis, "Sis!" Artemis ran over and hugged him. "Apollo!" "Where have you been? How was the attack? Did you catch them?" Apollo eyes lit up with flames. Artemis suppressed a big smile. "This is something we need to discuss." Apollo started to follow her, but suddenly stopped in his tracks. "Ana?" His voice faltered. He was looking straight at Quinn. Artemis reached for him. "That's not Ana. Please Apollo, I'll explain once we go back to the tent." Apollo didn't listen. "Ana..." "Apollo!" Apollo finally looked back to Artemis. He let her drag him away. "What just happened?" Quinn asked Aerwyna. Aerwyna sighed. "You look like Ana, who I will tell you about later." "Ana, there was no one I know of in Greek mythology named Ana." "Let's just say she liked to stay behind the scenes." Quinn nodded. The crowd of girls cleared as they went back to work in the now hot sun. She looked over to see that Aerwyna had left her. Her face felt cold in the heat as she sat down against a tree. Remember. Remember. But Quinn just couldn't. If she was child of nymph and god, why didn't anyone know who she was? She had no idea how to remember. She slowly tugged her armor off to reveal her clothing. She wasn't a huntress, or a goddess. She was Quinn, and everyone didn't believe her. Why couldn't she just be mortal? Why was her memories taken away? Maybe someone took it from her. Artemis and Aerwyna kept saying it, nymphs don't get amnesia. Gods and goddesses don't get amnesia. Only a few mortals. Was Quinn …show more content…
"Yeah, I guess. I mean you're surround with friends and immortality and stuff, but you can never get married, or go wherever you want."
Quinn nodded, "You know how to swim?"
"Yeah, my parents taught me. I'm a young huntress, only twenty years, but I have the modern advantages, swimming, running... most leave after a century or two." Aerwyna elucidated.
"You still keep in touch?" Quinn queried and regretted it. She didn't want to touch a bad subject, nor seem too interested.
Aerwyna shook her head. "I used to live on the shore of Florida, an American huntress is rare. When the huntresses came five year ago, they took me without my parent's knowledge. My parents probably think I'm missing or dead."
"Oh, well at least you remember your parents, right?" Quinn joked trying to lighten up the mood.
"Yeah. Maybe Artemis will let me come with you to Olympus." Aerwyna spoke trying to change the subject.
"I'm going to Olympus?"
"Yes, well not officially. But Zeus would be greatly angered to find out that Art and Apollo, went against the
