Freeda

“Johana, wake up! You and me, and Emma are all alive!” Said Freeda.

But suddenly Freeda felt something wet touching the her hand that was on Johana’s back. Freeda set her down face down on the coach. There was blood pouring from a spot on Johanna's back. They sat there staring at it. Freeda was crying and wailing.

“Nooooooo! I promised mom and dad that I would protect you, I promised I would do everything I could to make sure that we all got back to america, together!” Freeda yelled.

Freeda broke down on the floor. Emma got a blanket and laid it over Johana, a tear running down her cheek. What are we going to do? She thought.

“These Nazis, these monsters have no limits.” Cried Freeda.

Freeda, Johana, and their parents were Jews in World War ll. Emma was Freeda’s best friend, who was also hiding Freeda and her sister while Freeda’s parents were in the ghetto, a place where they rounded up everyone who was Jewish and tourchered them. They had to find some way to get Freeda ’s parents back and smuggle them to America, where they were letting jews in. They had a plan, but if it didn’t work, then they would all die.

“How are we going to get some?” asked Freeda.
“I will go get it while you stay here. Do not go outside and try to not make a sound. If someone comes, lay Johana in the closet and hide under the bed.” Emma explained.
“Okay.” Freeda said through
