Adult child interaction during the early childhood years is very important. Adult child interactions show’s parents and children as a partnership, versus the parent has control over the child. However, parent and child partnerships help build the child’s critical thinking skills, vocabulary language modeling, and encouraging the child to problem solve; when the child encounter problems within the activity or personal self-helps skills. However, I do believe as an educator, parents are their child’s first teacher. Parents are the guide to their child’s success.
Mathematics is much more than counting from one through ten, Math gives young children the opportunity to explore mathematics everywhere. Children will observe using colors ranging from light to dark hearing, sounds that vary in pitch and loudness. Exploring materials properties of objects and how things work observing varies changes within items. Ordering things based on sizes, age, loudness, color intensity. Navigating in different space arranging objects understanding how one’s body relates to its surroundings. Comparing quantities identifying large, small or more, less. However, working with numbers

The parent will ask their other children to hide the numbers while the parent and the child is counting from one to ten in English and Spanish. The parent and child will collect the numbers from around the home; once the parent and child comes back from the hunt they’re supposed to match the numbers to the number mat. In the second modification activity the parent will encourage their child to identify numbers one through five only and then add a new number every week into the child gets to the number ten. I consider the modification activities to help create a balance for children who may be learning at a different level. Some children may need to build up to the number recognition
