Hitler’s older brother bore the brunt of his father’s treatment, but then he ran away leaving Hitler to deal with his father’s anger. Also at this time Hitler and his family moved into the town of Lambach, Austria. In this town was an old church which was decorated with wooden Swastikas, which Hitler saw everyday on his way home from monastery school. Hitler did well in school and was even in choir; he was said to have a good singing voice. As a young boy he idolized the priests and even considered becoming one for two years. When his older brother was asked about Hitler when he was younger he said that he was quick to anger and spoiled by his mother. When Hitler ended school he wanted to go to classical school and become an artist but his father wanted him to follow in his footsteps as a civil service so he went to technical school. Hitler’s father died of a lung hemorrhage on January 3, 1903 leaving 13 year old Hitler in charge of the family. Hitler dressed in civilian went to the meeting of about 25 in the back of a Munich beer hall. He listened to their speeches on economics until one man stood up and said that he believed that the German state of Bavaria should break away and become an Austrian state. This enraged Hitler and he stood up and lectured the man uninterrupted for 15 minutes. The head of the party kept saying throughout Hitler’s lecture that he had the gift of tongue. A few days later Hitler received and unexpected post card saying he had been accepted into the party and Hitler made the life changing decision of joining the party. Hitler never had a full time job except for his time in the army, but after joining the party Hitler worked very hard to make the party successful. When Hitler first spoke, he spoke for a group of about a hundred. He was the second speaker and he astonished everyone with his highly emotional speaking. Hitler finally became the parties main speaker, speaking out against the Treaty of Versailles and Jews. Attendance at the meeting slowly began growing. Hitler finally held a mass meeting in Munich meeting hall in front of thousands and people said when they left the meeting they would not forget Hitler’s speech. The Nazi party slowly grew to power with Hitler as the leader. When elections came the Nazi power took power and Hitler became the chancellor of Germany. Hitler then
