After taking both Financial and Managerial Accounting, I was asked to be a TA for both classes. I work alongside my professors to provide the support and knowledge the students need to be successful. As an Accounting tutor at the Center for Writing and Academic Achievement, I work one-on-one with students to help them understand the material and develop their skills. I try to supplement their knowledge of the subject with pertinent skills that I have learned by focusing on growth and understanding. These events provided an abundance of opportunities to learn about the accounting industry and network with experienced professionals. Unfortunately, only juniors and seniors would attend these events, most of which had internships or jobs. After a year as a member and learning about all the accounting firms and graduate schools that recruited at Stonehill, I decided to take a leadership role as V.P. of Professional Activities.
