In episode 3, after being appointed as Minister Plenipotentiary in France, John Adam must depart to France; Abigail Adams, John Adams’s wife, becomes upset and has him take their son, John Quincy, with him. On the journey to France, the British shoots them with their cannons, which eventually injures a few men. Once Adams and his son arrive, Adams finds about the treaty with France and angrily questions Franklin about it. At the same time, Abigail eats dinner with a French Admiral who is amazed by her husband’s commitment to the cause. Discovering that Franklin has been appointed as the sole minister of France, Adams immediately goes to Holland to request a loan of 10 million dollars. However, the French Court is reluctant since America’s credit has exactly not been established. Later on, Adams becomes and sends his son to Russia to be a secretary. …show more content…
Along with that, Jefferson arrives as a trade representative, but unfortunately he has no luck. John, Abigail and Jefferson attend a play; simultaneously, they are very amazed by luxuries of Paris. Afterwards, Adams practices bowing down and prepares a speech for the king. When performing the speech, King George acknowledges his country’s alliance with the United States. Shortly after, Adams is criticized in the newspaper and decides to return home; Adams and Abigail are welcomed home, as they reunite with their grown children. Discovering his John Quincy’s courtship, his father opposes it and immediately has him end his relations. Afterwards, there is soon a presidential election where George Washington becomes the first president of the United States and Adams becomes the first vice
