It was the first time that I was unable to meet a goal that was given to me by my superiors. But, while it was difficult to get past, I learned several significant lessons from this project. The first was the importance of being able to create an environment that is similar to what exists during integrative bargaining (Fossum, 2008). The goal of the project team was to increase the rate of payment to 90% in order to ensure that continued productivity of the program. While the goal of the employees working in the program was to provide high quality services to their clients. These goals were not mutually exclusive, in fact increasing the rate of payment would ensure that the clinicians and employees had more resources at hand to deliver more services and had all of the tools needed to do so (Fossum,
