Several disciplines agree to collaborate for decision making.

Purpose |

Multidisciplinary approach |
various disciplines work together where each professional has separate and distinctive roles, and intervention strategies are also discipline specific.

Interdisciplinary approach |
refers to disciplines working together on overlapping goals, allowing for an increased coordination of services. Team members collaborate on reports of assessments, goals and intervention plans. |

Transdisciplinary approach |
this involves all team members cross training or “blurring” of roles by relinquishing predetermined boundaries. |
