CRUSH POINT |
Occurs when 2 objects are moving toward each other, or when oneobject is moving toward a stationary object and the gap in betweenthem gets smaller. |

WRAP POINT |
Occurs when any part of the machine rotates. PTO is most commonwrap point. |

FREEWHEELING PARTS |
These parts continue to move after the power to the machine hasbeen shut off. Remember to stop the tractor’s engine, disengage thePTO, and wait for the machine to come to a complete stop. |

Occurs when materials are discharged from the machine. Hazardscould be caused by rotating fan or knife blades used to cut, grind, orchop materials on mowers, chippers, etc. |

Occur when machine parts get hot. Examples of hot spots/burnpoints: mufflers, engine blocks, pipes, and hydraulic fluid. |

PINCH POINT |
Occurs when 2 machine parts move together, and at least 1 of theparts makes a circle. Examples: gears, belts, or chain drives. |

SHEAR POINT |
Occur when the edges of 2 machine parts move across or close toeach other to create a scissor-like area that can cut through skin,clothing, and body parts. |
